We have gotten 2 new kittens in the last month. The 11 week old, Brees, is now showing signs of having a cold (runny eyes and sneezing). I made an appt. for him on Sat. @ 10:30 a.m. to see the vet. I've had an appt. for both kittens to have their 1st shots (for Reese's) and 2nd shots (for Brees) at a mobile vet at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. So I was wondering if I should still take Brees to have his 2nd shots? Is it ok for him to get them when he has a cold? Also, what are the chances of Brees giving his cold to Reese's or the other two adult cats in the household?

It's very common for kittens to get colds in a new environment. They could've even picked it up at the vet's office. If he's in any way sick, do not get shots. He should be in optimal health for the shots. However, you can take him and have the vet look at him in case he needs an antibiotic.

How is his eating? Is he sneezing? Does he sound congested? You need to make sure he eats as much as possible and continues to drink. Also check to be sure litter box habits are normal.

As long as the cats are together, there's always the chance that the infection can be passed. If they're healthy and not under too much stress, though, the older ones may be able to fight it off without getting sick.

I would not get the sick kitten any shots until he has seen the vet and been given a clean bill of health.

Vaccines compromise the immune system and should only be given to healthy kittens.

He has sneezed just a few times in the last few days, though not a lot. Everything else is normal about him. He is playing with Reese's just as he always does and really isn't acting any differently. Thanks for the advice, it's really appreciated.

Has the weather changed recently there? It could be something allergy related. How is he doing today?
