I made a post on here a few months about our overly aggressive cat. We got him when he was a kitten and soon after he started hurting us really bad with scratching and biting. It is all in a playful manner but it is still a major issue. At 6 months we had him neutered hoping that would fix the problem, but now he is just as bad as before. We are forced to keep him in his pen at night because he will scratch our face while we sleep. We have got him several toys, and tried all kinds of tips but with no results. At this point we have scars ALL over our legs and arms from him and just can't take it anymore. Is there anything we should do or know about before we get rid of him??

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

If it is play, then he is not meaning to hurt you. He needs his playing redirected onto something non harmful. When he comes at you, try shouting NO and blocking him, try a wand toy or something to distract his attention from you, and onto the toy before the aggression begins.
This will only work if he really is playing, and not attacking you out of fear.
If you can, scruff him and just gently hold him there until he calms down if he tries to go to town on you guys again despite everything else. I am guessing that he will calm down in time but it is still important to train him out of it.
This has become habit so will be hard to break, but I had a cat like this once so it can be done. The problem may have been that this was permitted when he was very small and unable to harm anyone, but continued as he got older.
