I'm just curious, as I am trying to get one now:

How many ppl have a passport? Have you had it long? If you don't have one, are you going to be trying to get one?

Yep, I got mine about 2 years ago because I was supposed to go to Florida. Never went, but had to use the passport for Cuba last month.

Yup. I got mine in the late 70's when I went to Northern Ireland to visit friends. And I go to the UK alot, and Mexico - although not in a few years. But I just renewed it. I also use it as ID in alot of places - in NYC, to get in some office buildings, they like to see photo ID.

I don't have one. I figure I will get it when we want to go somewhere but there is no point until then.

Yes, I have one. Got it for a Caribbean cruise we took this winter. I will probably always keep it updated. It's good to have, as you never know when you might need one.

I had a passport in the past when I went to Europe back in the 1980's. Of course it has now expired. Never needed to renew it so far but Russell is trying to talk me into going to his homeland in Australia to visit his family in the near future. As much as I would love to visit there, I'm still afraid of terrorists.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
My grandparents took my sister and I on a cruise through Scandanavia, Russia and Finland when I was 8 or 9 and my sister was 14 or 15, so I had to learn to sign my name (in cursive) for it.
I've renewed it every time expiration was coming up since then, though I traveled so extensively in college that I needed a new one because it got full. I think it needs renewal every 10 years? I just do it by mail now - I don't remember how long it took from sending the old one in to getting the new one back.

Nope, no passport. We used to only need a drivers license to get into Canada. I think I may get an "enhanced" license. It's good on the bridges into Canada and that is the only other country I ever visit. Although its been a few years.

None for me, yet, and the way things are, exotic locales for me will be a trip across the bridge to Kentucky.

I have one, I've had one since I was 10 and I've had to renew it a couple of times.

Wow. I've always dreamed of filling up my passport so much that it was full and I had to get a new one before the expiration date.
I love looking at the stamps and remembering the trips.
