Purraise

Storm had her first appointment with our new vet. The Dr.'s seen Pebbles on a few different occasions and done a very nice job with her. You can tell she really likes the job and isn't in it for the $$.

Any-who, poor girl cried the whole car ride there (I kept talking to her and telling her she was OK). We got to the vet and I grabbed her out of the carrier and put her leash on and walked in. She was SO MUCH better than our last visit because she could see everything going on around her. (She's a tad claustrophobic and she really HATE being in her carrier) She even calmed down to the point of purring in the waiting room.
The ladies all LOVED her, they thought all of her toes were adorable and I even got to educate one of the vet techs about soft claws.

We weighted in and she's 7.3lbs way up from 5ish in December. Which I think is good. I brought up the fact that I thought she was a bit under weight but I said that I couldn't really get her to eat more and the vet told me then she doesn't need more, she may just be a thin cat. Made me feel a little better. She was very good while the Dr. took her temp, listened to her heart and lungs, and checked her mouth and teeth. I also was informed she's a good mouser, haha, the vet told me big ears are supposed to be a good sign of that. I told her that in the case of Storm, with ears as big as they are, we shouldn't have any mice in our whole neighborhood and she doesn't even go outside.

It was cute though, she was very curious about seeing all the new things in the exam room. (She is a very observant cat) It came time for her shot and she was still gawking around, then she spotted it! Another cat, oh no, lol. They have a clock that has a big yellow tiger cat sitting onto and his tail ticks along like the second hand, she was so fascinated with it she didn't even know the Dr. poked her for her rabies shot! We got to woo the vet tech again on the way out and every one loves her!

I'm so proud of my little girl. After some of the 'issues' I created with my last cat I'm so glad that I put the extra time and effort into socializing Storm so much. It's really paid off.
