Hi all! My name is Katie and I don't typically do well with these openers, lol - always feel a bit silly, so excuse any awkwardness.
I'm a twenty-something from New York, still living with my parents while I go to Tech school (got a degree in Forensic Psych first so I'm a little across the board here). I do a lot of writing, reading, and recently, jewelry making as hobbies, and am a great lover of Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Comic books. I just about live at the movie theater on weekends; my movie collection now rivals my book collection.
I live in a separate apartment with my 11-month old semi-blind Herpes baby, Samantha Rae McCoy.
She's a brown tabby with white markings and one heck of an attitude - Sam's a sweetheart with me, but she is hellfire when she's angry! She's the center of my world, has more toys then she really needs, and eats high-quality grain-free canned food with the occasional bit of Mommy's tuna salad and a few treats when she gets her Lysine. Currently, I'm trying to deal with the fact that though I've tried several methods to deter her, she insists on darting after my legs and leaping up to bite at the backs of my thighs.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope to learn as much as I can from everyone.
