Oh Linda, I am so sorry to hear this news!
But, the good thing is it IS stage 1. I know the "C" word makes everyone panic, but it is early and treatment at this stage is your best bet. I'm actually amazed at how many cancer surviors I know (as in 5, 10, 20 years cancer free) and they were all diagnosed early. You work in the health field so you know the statistics....but that doesn't help when you're there by yourself thinking too much.

But, you're NOT by yourself. You have us and your feline support group and we'll give you and the hugs and headbutts you want. Take a night, get some ice cream or chocolate, pig out and cry (it's good for the soul) and tomorrow be ready for what comes because we're with you.

Linda, you are a very strong person. As devastating as this news is now, you will rise up to meet this challenge just like you've done before with other health challenges you've faced. Cancer is no longer a death sentence - you caught this very early and many common cancers can now be cured!

You don't need to tell your brother right away if you aren't ready - a couple of days won't make a difference if you need that time to wrap your head around this news. Sending lots of vibes and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this. Having been through just a sliver of the same feeling here in the last month, I can really sympathize with you.

I am so sorry, You wil be in my prayers!

I hope you get good news soon, so you can relax a tiny bit.

It may not be a "real" hug, but I mean it as much as I would in person:

You're going to get through this...you're a strong person. It's natural to give in to tears for a bit, but I know you'll get ready for the fight.

You are not alone. You can beat this. I am sorry you are facing this, but this is one of the best times in history to get better and get rid of cancer. A loved one of mine was recently diagnosed too. Sending you good thoughts.
