Hello

The cat my boys was after has given birth.

I had my cats done on the 8th march.

She is giving birth now.

I kept my cats in from the saturday so the 6th, where their was more than one cat still after her a week after I had my cats done.

Taffy got out on the 8th, and came back on the 9th, however nobody saw him for the one day.

At least 3 kittens have died.

If you are asking if your boys could have gotten her pregnant after being neutered the asnwer is YES. Males can still get a female pregnant for up to 2 months after being neutered. This is why you can't just let them run with the girls for 2 months!

Please get her spayed as soon as the kits are 8 weeks old - and keep the boys away from her!

She is not our cat, so can't get her done.

The week after we had our cats done, we let them back out, as the vet said 1 week. levels of testosterone wont drop for 2 months.

Our road is a very male area, over 9 males cats other than our 2, thats 11 male cats was after this other cat.

Its possible but can' be proven if there are alot of other unfixed males around. If they are trying to blame your cats then it just is unjustified and they can't go around doing that. Hey, you did the right thing by getting yours fixed, its the owners of this little lady that should have had her done ages ago and now some babies have suffered and this could have been avoided. Ok people are saying you shouldnt have let them out so soon but sometimes it is unavoidable. x

IMO its not "unavoidable" - you CAN control if your cat goes outside or not. The vet was to blame by saying it was ok to turn the boys loose outside. Whether or not its the OP's boys or not, the fact is that they could have gotten other females that were not spayed pregnant when they were outside.

The responsibility is YOURS to control the actions of your cat and that includes breeding.

If they kept their cats in, she would still have kittens, they also have unneutered males living with that cat, apparently he has already gotten her pregnant before.

My cats are in 95% of the time if not greater.

By my figuring, if she went full term she got pregnant on March 10th. So probably your boys aren't the daddies, because they were inside recuperating right about then. Poor thing . Who knows how many males got to her? I hope her owners have her spayed ASAP. It's just cruel to put a girl through that.

its not the first time, she had a litter last year. This is a male cat street, I have gone around asking if anyone has seen my cat, here is what I came up with.

Houses - 160
Dogs, 16
Male Cats 74 - many not done.
Female cats 3 - all done but 1.

Like I said I counted 9 other cats after this one, but I could of counted 3-4 cats for every one cat. Example, 4 black cats can look alike so thats 1 cat.

Just 2 houses down, they have 2 male cats, not done. My household have 3 all done male cats. The household where the kittens are born, 1 known male cat not done. 4 houses down, have 4 male cats, the house behind me, has 1 male cat not done. Need I go on?

For the march the 10th, well I had my boys done on the 8th, told that they can still get cats preg for 1 week after op. This means I kept my cats in, even though one escaped, and went missing for 24 hours, it would be cutting it really close.

Update on the kittens, 4 died. Not seen, only told via the owners.
