Our club's First Show!

Well, first in too many years for me to count.

The West Coast Cat club http://www.westcoastcats.ca/ has been debating show dates for the past few months. We are looking to host a show in Vancouver in 2011. This past weekend, another Washington club relinquished their show date so we can apply for the last weekend in May.

We need to fundraise around $5000 over the next year, but we are pretty excited about it.

If anyone from the Northwest or Southwest regions are interested in coming up, I'll have more details as the year goes by.

Good luck and best wishes - its hard work. Hubby and I wanted to start a club on our side of MN but after looking into the costs, we decided now was not the time. We did have several area clubs willing to help - the biggest problem was the fact that the judges would have a 2 hr ride just to get to the show hall!

Apparently we have a good place in mind, and it is decently close to the Vancouver International Airport with a few motels nearby that accept pets. I think our first fundraising idea is a raffle of some things such as a West-Jet travel voucher, chain hotel gift certificates, etc. Stuff that not just cat-lovers would appreciate.
