Update on Walter

Hi everyone, just to give you an update on Walter and ask for some advice. Well quite a bit has happened.
About a month and a half ago I adopted 2 kittens from a shelter, they have settled in fine and are very happy. I am very happy to report that Walter has been coming around as usual and allows me to stroke him now, even though my little male kitten hisses at him. Well over the last three nights Walter has come inside and tonight he made himself completely at home, not nervous at all. I love this as I have wanted to have him indoors for ages, my problem is this, tomorrow I am leaving town for a week, isn't that typical!!This wouldn't be a problem if I could get him checked out at the vet and make sure he couldn't give anything to my kittens before I leave, but this is not possible as there is not enough time. My husband is going to make sure while I am away he feeds everybody, Walter included but he is working long hours and does not have time to take him to the vet or keep an eye on how he is getting on with the kittens. Is there anything Walter could give the kittens if I let him stay inside or is it better to wait until I get back in just over a week so there someone there at all times to keep an eye. Any advice would be welcome

It's a good idea to keep them separated until the vet gives a clean bill of health. They can pass internal and external parasites among other things. I would keep feeding Walter outside until the vet gives the ok or in a spare room if you have one.
