We are in need of some pet bowl replacements so I am searching for cute ones on the web. I am only looking for stainless steel because of poor Caponeâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s sensitivity to acne outbreaks.

A few places say bowls are made out of metal, while others are saying stainless steel. Are they the same thing? Or is there a difference?

Thanks all!

All stainless steel is metal, but not all metal is stainless steel
Sorta like all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. I'd stick with the ones that say they're stainless.

Would metal be just as sanitary and serve the same purposes as stainless steel?

I too would stick to ones that specifically say stainless steel. I personally have a skin sensitivity to various types of cheap metals so I have to be very careful when I buy jewelry. If it doesn't say what type of metal it is made of I don't buy. I would imagine it is similar with the kitties.

Metal might mean aluminum. That's usually lighter weight and tends to get pitted if you put it in the dishwasher.
