Thanks LDG for your all our replies. I forgot to mention that my grandmother will be moving in in 1 or 2 months.

Well you'll be waiting a long time to "fatten her up" a cat that is desperately ill. So get her checked for worm infestations as well as Feline leukemia virus and other parasites. I doubt you'll find a reputable vet who will do a spay in her present condition.

Well, as your grandmother is moving, will they let you keep her outside until you can find a home for her? Would they let you foster her inside, in your room, on the condition that you ACTIVELY search for a home for her? Perhaps talk to them about providing them a report every three days on what you've done to find her a home? Who you e-mailed, where you put up posters - if you've never designed a flyer before, this would be a good learning project... ????

I sent my mom a very persuasive email and she passed it on to my dad. I think I have convinced her. She didn't eat very much yesterday, really need to get her to a vet. Maybe I can take her home. I mentioned fostering untill I can find her a home but I am my mom both know that once we take her home we won't be able to let her leave. So thank you everyone for your help and hopefully I will have a cat today .

Good luck, sweetie. I hope you talked them into at least helping her by getting her to a vet, even if she has to be released back outside.

Well, she isn't here. Of course. Ugh! I can never catch her. And I guess my mom isn't as convinced as I thought, she said we'd talk, but she hasn't done anything. She still doesn't get that food isn't enough. Oh well, if I can catch her, I'm bringing her home. It's not like there mean and don't care, they just don't want to make the commitment. *sigh*. I'm gonna go look for Trin I guess.....

Okay, still not sure where Trinity is, but I just saw another one. A tortishell, a little bigger, fatter, all 4 paws, scareder. Not sure where it came from but there is NO way I can keep 2.

That's the problem with putting out food - others will come. It's exactly why we don't recommend feeding without following through with at least spaying/neutering (and basic vaccination(s)).

Good luck, sweetie.
