Help!

Our pregnant cat got out yesterday and after much frantic searching she turned up this morning not pregnant.

I have called the RSPCA but I don't know what to do next to find these kittens.

She is only 18 months old.

Will she abandon them?

Where would she hide them?

What should I do for her now?

Sorry about this and thanks

Where did you find her? Was she hiding or did she just come back on her own? I'm sure you want to keep your cat inside for her safety. However, since she has kittens out there somewhere you're going to have to let her out again. Hopefully you can follow her to where she's hidden her kittens. Or you may be able to hear them if they're close by.

Thank you Goldycat.

We found them!

She had made a nest in the clutter in the spare room and I spent the morning following her until she went back.

The moment when we found five healthy kittens was just amazing.

So sorry to make a fuss, but I had visions of them being abandoned in a garage or something.

It turns out she is a very good mother and is feeding them in a box.

Thank you again Goldy for replying.

Please be sure to keep the mother in now, as she can go into heat at any time.

Once she begins weaning the kittens, please do get her spayed so this doesn't happen again, and to protect her from several deadly diseases including uterine cancer and pyometra.

So glad you found them safe. Are you able to get any pictures yet?
