I can't recall reading anything about this so please excuse me if this has been answered before. Mom-E looked like she had hiccups!

Like a human, she probably just drank to fast, and her stomach doesn't hold as much now, so as long as she doesn't seem in pain, I don't think you need to worry

She does not seem to be in any pain. I did a search on this forum and someone (can't remember who..sorry) said that she thought her cat had hiccups and it was actually contractions. We will see soon enough I guess.

I was giving my rabbit some hay and dropped the lid to his cage by accident. It was LOUD! Poor cat jumped about a half foot and my rabbit - who by the way thinks he is a doberman-- did not even bat an eye. I hope I did not scare her too much.

The main difference would be that contractions is her belly pushing something up, and contractions push the babies down
Good luck!!

Cats DO get hiccups! It's not at all uncommon.

I noticed Carly had hiccups yesterday for the first time. I just think with the limited space (kittens taking up the rest) they are going to have more gas and weird things happening that might not normally.
