At the tender age of eleven, Jamie has discovered that you can hide under beds, so now we have to keep playing hide and seek. The head, foot and sides of our bed (water bed) go down to the floor, and we have a trundle bed in the spare room. Yesterday we set up the spare room for my nieces, so the lower part of the trundle bed is upright, and there's space under both "twins". Jamie is absolutely amazed, and can't get enough of it.

Much highly recommends hiding under beds. Poor Jamie has been thwarted for far too long.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Just dont let him figure out that if you have a bedskirt on the bed he can attack your feet by surprise.....GiGi figured that out when I changed the bedding for the summer and put the bed skirt back on...

If I can't find Attitude all I have to do is look under the bed or behind the curtains in the living room which are behind the couch. Most of the time she's under the bed. Not sure why she likes it so much but she's under there so much I guess she likes it for one reason or another.

When Max was alive, he would hide under the bed. He learned that he was so black, if he shut his eyes, we could never find him.

Great story! You go, Jamie!

Under the bed in my house is Tolly's Safe Spot if someone comes to the house, but also his Sick Spot. If he's not feeling well he curls up on his little bed under there, too.

Most of under my bed is used for storage as my apartment is tiny, but I keep that one corner clear for Tolly.

What's the betting that the beds stay like that now that Jamie has discovered a new hiding place?

We have wooden drawers under our bed with blankets, towels, etc in them. Newt loves to sleep in them. If I can't find her that's where she'll be hiding!

Yep, you'll have to keep the bed that way now that he has a hiding spot. I always have to keep a cat-sized space under my bed clear just for occasional hiding purposes.

Yeah - the bed is the favored hiding spot when people come over. And it is Casper's ONGOING hiding place. Yes - my bed growls! (he growls at the other cats when they come into the room. Way to go in LETTING THEM KNOW where you are, Cas!

Oh my....Jamie has been deprived for far too long!! I'm glad he has discovered this wonderful cat hiding spot.

When we got Trent and Ophelia we had a waterbed and they couldn't go under the full bed either. But we had a headboard that created an empty space around the top end of the bed. When they figured out there was a tunnel that only they could fit into oh man that was the best kitten playground EVER!

I put my mattress/box spring on the floor 3 years ago because when I was fostering kittens, they'd hide under there. Actually, I do believe it was PJ & Punky who hid under there to avoid getting medicated. They were pissed when they discovered their hidey place gone!
