eating earbuds

Quite a while ago I posted asking how to teach your cat to leave your earbuds alone. Well, I've found a way. All I had to do was wear them and whenever he went to bite the cord or grab them/it with his paw I would tap gently on his nose. He would instantly stop and when he came back again after a few minutes I'd tap his nose again. With persistance he's pretty much given up on the earbuds and I've even left them lying around a few times (without thinking) and he hasn't touched them.

I figured since mom cats will bite babies on their noses for doing something they shouldn't do, maybe Eyvan would understand my tapping in the same way and it worked.

Glad you found a solution

I try and keep that stuff away from my cats just in case they decide to get into a mood to chew stuff, because things like earbuds could get swallowed.
