How often do you wear make-up? men and women welcome ;-)

Hi all, the hair thread got me going, how often do we all wear make-up and what ocasions for and what style?? Also does it take you long to apply?

I wear it almost every day, very rare I leave the house without it, it takes me about 20 mins to apply in the morning, I like darker colours as I have dark hair, I have just dyed my hair cosmic blue so I stick to dark blue eyeshadow with eyeliner flicks and I am mad on bronzer at the minute, I prefer lip gloss over lipstick. I do have make up free days mostly sundays. Its not that I am vain I just have always worn make up so now it is part of my daily routine. xx

I wear it every weekday to work and then only on the weekends if there is something special going on.

I wear make up every weekday when going to work, it's a habit. I've got it down to about 5 mins and that's full eye make up. I only wear powder/bronzer on my face.

At the weekend I'm happy to go without for some reason, wonder why that is??

I wear eye make up and blush every day when I go to work (Unless I work 3rd because then my eyes just get irritated and painful b/c I'm tired). If it's a 'special' occasion I'll go all out and use powder and concealer and all the junk but not unless I have to!

I never leave the house without wearing make up. I use quite heavy eye make up, black eyeliners which you can propably see from very far.. But I leave my lips natural, just some lip balm. It does take a while to do the whole 'warpaint' as the men around here usually call it..almost an hour.
I have black hair and very pale skin (my real hair color is blonde) so I look very weird without make up.

Rarely. I went out to a dinner theater last weekend and I was thinking about putting on some mascara, eye liner, blush and lipstick, but didn't bother. I prefer how my skin feels without make-up and I didn't want to have itchy eyes from the mascara.

Only on special occasions. I often break out is a rash or get really itch from makeup. I have tried many brands for sensitive skin. I found the best thing is just don't wear any

I wear make-up to work when I am working. Now I wear it when I go out or have job interviews. I use foundation, powder, eye shadow blush and lip stick. I try to keep things looking pretty natural. I do not wear make-up to run errands though. I will put on make-up tonight when I go out for karaoke later this evening.

Rarely. I used to wear a full face of makeup every day, but I quit doing that years ago when I became a stay at home mom. Now I work full time, but I have never gotten back into the habit of wearing make up daily. For awhile I would just wear a bit of mascara, but now most days it is just a little moisturizer and chap stick. I will put make up on for special occassions, but basically I just don't want to take the time to put it on every day.

I wear makeup daily, unless I'm staying home all day. I have vitiligo, so I'm embarassed to be without it.

I only skip the makeup if I know I'm not going to be leaving the house. I feel icky without it. It takes me about 1/2 hour to dry/style my hair and put on makeup in the morning. I make use of that time by doing a 1/2 hour language lesson while I'm getting beautified

I normally wear makeup every day. The only time I don't wear it is if I'm sick (like I am right now) or if I'm home by myself.

I always wear mascara, although if I am going to an exercise class I may leave home without and put it on in the club after I shower. I usually wear eye shadow and if I am going out or sometimes just for the heck of it I wear full face makeup. I can put my makeup on in 5 minutes, though I usually take 10.

The last time was as a sophomore in high school, in which I played a black house servant.

Try beating that for weird!

Most of the time I only wear foundation/cover-up daily to even out my skin tone and cover up blemishes. Once in a while I will add lip tint or gloss. I rarely wear eye makeup or blush because it causes my skin and eyes to itch and my eyes to water and hurt.

Very rarely - only if we are going someplace pretty fancy or special (like weddings or awards banquets). Hubby likes me au natural And to be honest - I don't feel like taking the time to put on make up every day. Never was into it.

I only own a tube of lipstick and a little blush - that's it!

The same for me - except I have freckles to cover, too. I don't like lip gloss or anything tinted, though. My mouth is sort of large looking (to me) and my lips are already dark enough that people think I have something on them. If I wear lipstick it usually makes me look goofy.
If I'm just going over to the in-laws and nowhere else I won't bother with anything.

There are times when I wear eye make up every day for like weeks at a time, and then there are times when I don't wear any for a week straight..
In the past year though, it's been very rare that I've left the house without ANY make up at all- I usually always put on at least a powder foundation and some concealer.. In the past few weeks I've been using more eye shadow because I have a lot that I need to use up I hate it when stuff goes to waste... I have been wearing a silvery blue eye shadow with a dark blue as a liner to make it softer- I hate it when my eyes are really dark unless I'm at like a club or somewhere out in the evening.

I love make up, even if I don't put it on a whole lot I like playing around with it, I always have since I was little and my mom tried to hide her make up from me. She hid her lipsticks when I was like 4 and I got so mad that when I was able to find a red nail polish I put that ALL over my lips. It was a distaster I dunno what it is ever since then I just love make up...
Mostly I'm obsessed w/ lipsticks and lip glosses though.. Since I'm a brunette a berry pink that's borderline purple looks good on me, though I put some gloss on top so it's not over then top, and I will miss wearing that color if I change my haircolor to red.

I very rarely wear make up. I don't work, have nothing special to get dressed up for, so don't bother.

If we go out for dinner, it's usually casual (it's California, everything is casual!), so it has to be a special dinner, or a special occasion.

Even then, it takes me a little over 5 minutes. I just put on some foundation, some mascara, maybe a little blush, and usually just lip gloss, but otherwise a light lipstick.

I wear make up to work or special occasions, takes me less than 5 minutes. Foundation, eye shadow, mascara and lip gloss.

Nothing on the weekends or days off.
