I think the world must have come to an end.....just look at this!

No folks, you don't need to clean your screens or your glasses. Indeed, that is the one & only "nastiest cat of the midwest" Ophelia Rose sitting next to, nay, snuggled up to Dorian Grey ("Uncle" Dory). Proof you can tame the most wild of all beasts.

(and no the dirty socks have nothing to do with it
)

(Dory closed his eyes preparing to get smacked here)

(then he realized she didn't care if he was there, she even kinda mighta liked it a teensy tinsy bit having "company")

(yep, he decided, she's safe.....for now)

**For anyone who may not know, Ophelia Rose is not a particularly pleasant cat. Especially if you ask any other cat who has met her. She has inflicted stitches a few times upon one other cat in my household, and has an intense hatred for most other cats. Re-homing her in not an option, as she's isn't a very friendly cat & is prone to attack other dogs/cats or even people. But she is happy here - she has free roam of the office which is 800 sq ft with 4 awesome bird watching windows. She has furniture to climb, toys to play with, and people to pet her when she's in a petting mood. She also gets free roam of the basement at night when the other cats are confined - at which point she has "midnight crazies" & zooms up & down the hallway.

She's always tolerated Dory remarkably well, given her purr-sonality. I do think the two of them got into a fighting match this afternoon, and he kicked her a good one. She's been very respectful of him all day. He's been trying to woo her over for several days now, sometimes he just craves her attention specifically.
He's been giving her a bath now, which she doesn't mind. I haven't seen them get along like this in a very long time!

Dory's the type to just walk over & shove in wherever he can. Apparently it worked well in his favor tonight.

Wow, they're both pretty cats! I'm glad Ophelia Rose has calmed down....even if it is just for a little while!

We all know that one cannot resist the charms of the Hunky Dory forever. Even the evil ones.

That's priceless! I love pictures that tell a story. I understand what you're going through to some extent: Moose doesn't really care for Lucy; to my knowledge they've never had a knock down, drag out fight, but anytime I can get them in the same picture frame, I run for the camera.
Moose is schizophrenic about her: one minute he's hissing if she walks five feet from him, and the next minute they're sniffing noses.

How cool is that?
The look on her face is priceless, its like she is saying "What? Can't a girl change her mind?" and Dory with his eyes shut anticipating the smack is hysterical. Rocko does this with Fiona sometimes. Crazy girl kitties!

That's wonderful! I hope it lasts.
Dory is just priceless with his eyes squeezed shut. What a cutie pie!

BTW, those are some cute red shoes!

Those are some sweet pics, maybe it's just a rare good mood for Ophelia Rose, or maybe she just realised other living beings don't really have to be beat up? Who knows.. I guess everyone should just enjoy the moment!

She used to tolerate other living beings. But one day she saw another kitty & for some reason despised that kitty - and since then it's been a downhill struggle. Regardless, I love her. She's such a doll, goofy as all get out, and incredibly playful. She's one in a million, and she's my Ophelia Rose.

I love those pictures!!
Even if she is vicious, Ophelia Rose is one of the most beautiful cats I have ever seen! It seems like those two have started to like being together more!
