Hi everyone. I am a new pet owner. I recently adopted a 9 year old female calico cat from the local Humane Society. I've never had a cat before so I wanted one that was an adult and, hopefully, still full of fun and energy but not a crazy cat ready to destroy my house. Apparently, I lucked out big time because Sassy is a gem. She is just what I wanted. She is a mellow and loving lap cat who is always ready to play too. She doesn't jump on the table or the counters and, after just three unsuccessful tries to sleep in my bed, sleeps through the night in her own bed. She just had her post-adoption check-up and is 100% healthy. I am SO glad I decided to adopt her!
