My BSH male Casper got sick a while ago, some stomach issues, loose stool etc. He didn't get better and tests were done (blood and stool samples), nothing special in them but kitty was still having loose stool and started to look a bit bigger. He was taken to a vet again today and they found fluid from his stomach. They said it's either some infection or a tumor..

Casper will be 3 years old this month. He acts totally normal and doesn't seem sick except for the loose stool/some diarrhea. He lives with my best friend and is the only cat in the house, he doesn't go out at all or have contact with other animals. My heart is breaking because I rehomed him to live with my friend because she had just lost her previous kitty (nothing contagious), and now if it happens again so soon...

Any ideas what this could be? I will find out something tomorrow, but in the meanwhile I'm open to opinions.

They are going to do a surgery tomorrow to see what's in there, we sure could have use for some vibes..

I am so sorry your cat is sick. Hugs to you and your friend and to your kitty. Prayers for the surgery, that they will find what is causing the problem and hopefully be able to treat the cat.

Yes he did look a bit bloated, that's why he was taken to the vet today. My friend didn't say how much they actually draw off, but there was quite a lot of it by the doctor. I don't know what color it was. The bloating appeared in a short time, we talked about it yesterday and my friend took him to the vet today after talking to the vet yesterday. I hope it's not FIP.
Well, actually I hope it's nothing..

My cat Spot developed a build up of Chyle (pronounced "kyle"). It is lymph fluid leaking into the abdomen from a defect in the lymph system.

It is uncommon in cats, but it might be something to ask the vet about.
Please keep us posted. Many for this kitty.

Thanks for all the vibes. Casper was put to sleep two hours ago.
They found several tumors from his stomach, there was nothing that could have been done so we decided that it's best not to wake him anymore...
This all happened so fast.. Hopefully the autopsy report will reveal more. The doctor said he had never seen anything like it before, it was all over te place..

I'll go make a post to the 'crossing the bridge', I so hoped I'd never have to start a thread in there.
