Finally! It's here!!!

Our first-time home buyer's tax credit check is finally here! We submitted the forms in October of last year and just now got our check. It took a few phone calls and LOTS of patience.

Honestly, though, I thought the check was fake. I looked at it and it had $331.03 added to it for "interest." Since when does the IRS tax on interest to something they owe you?

But it's real, it's here!!! For those still waiting...just hang in there, I'm sure it'll happen.

That is good news because we submitted ours in December, then resubmitted it in February because our accountant said we didn't use the right form. We are still waiting! And we are landscaping and painting the house now, so sure could use the $$.

Good luck! Lots of forums and blogs believe the IRS has been stalling on purpose. I hope they've stopped because it's costing them MORE money.
