What do you call this...I don't know what's the right term for this...

My hands are shaking, do you have any idea how to cure it?

Depending on the cause, it's just called "essential tremor". Mine come and go, and can be very slight to my whole arm shaking - which looks rather hilarious.
It can make some of my craft projects near impossible to do some days, I'll drop or shoot pieces of wire and beads across the room.

In my case its a combination of tachycardia tremors (when standing up) and my neck/muscle issues. The more I try to stop the shaking and tense up the worse it gets. So all I can suggest if that seems to happen to you is to try to relax.
Also see a doc to find out what the underlying cause is. Some things that can cause tremors are more serious and the tremors can be an early warning sign.

In some people, stimulants (like caffeine) can cause them to get shaky. So if you're going a bit heavy on caffeinated beverages or energy drinks that could also be a cause.

I have had essential tremors for as long as I can remember. Like when i was 5. They are also called familial tremors because you inherit them. I remember my father shaking and I, unfortunately, passed it on to our son.

Mine have also related symptoms which are my eyes will tear up for no reason and my voice will quiver. Stress causes all the symptoms to be worse, but sometimes the strangest things bring them on. For example, I couldn't call up the absence hotline for either of my kids without sounding like I was on the verge of tears, which I was and that was not really a stressful situation.

So, I have a severe case of these tremors. Lately, it got so bad that I could no longer live with them without everyone noticing. My whole body would start to shake. I finally told the doctor that I couldn't live with them and he prescribed 40 mg of Propranolol.

I AM SO MUCH BETTER! I love this pill. It has an unfortunate side effect. It tends to lower your blood pressure.
Mine is 110/70. Gee, darn!

Anyway, consult your doctor.

Happy not shaking days!

Yes, I need to see a doctor, the more I'm conscious about it the more it gets worse

.
I also have shaky hands. I don't know what causes them but they are life long. I have neurofibromatosis and a fairly severe upper back scoliosis; these might be contributing factors. I also have to laugh at myself. I enjoy hand embroidery but there are days where it is nearly impossible to thread the (large eye) needle. When I succeed I end up stabbing myself.
At least this gives me an excuse for the mess I make when cooking!

@ the mess excuse. I'll have jerks/spasms in my arms and hands, too. Its really bad if that happens while I'm eating - though amusing later. Luckily it's only happened a few times while eating at restaurants and I don't think anyone was paying close enough attention to notice. One time I was sitting next to my step sister eating and my hands/arms did that and shot my slice of ham (that I was trying to cut) onto her plate.. So, yeah all you can do is laugh a bit.

Mine came on in my teens as the other issues got worse. I have kyphosis in my neck - it's losing it's natural curve, caused by muscle issues. I tried some of the stretching exercises that my doctor recommended but couldn't do them because they cause me to start having weird spasmic head jerks and the shaking to get much worse.
That looks and feels so freaky that I don't want to induce it (I'd scare people
).

Stress just makes it worse. Good luck with going to the doctor. It took me a long time.
