A bit of a strannge question today

I was listening to Nightowls last night after i got in from work and they were trying to prove aliens were real it was quite interesting and really made you think and mentioned the Roswell Crash also........

So the question today is


Do you think there is anything out there?

Thats odd, I was having this conversation the other day with my friend after Stephen Hawking has said that there are things out there but not to delve into it. Yes I do think there is, how do we know that there isn't another planet out there like this and they are thinking the same as us I really do believe it. x

aj - I originally hail from County Durham, I used to listen to Nightowls on Metro Radio years ago when I couldn't sleep. I'd forgotten all about it!!

Aliens? I'm not sure, but it does seem unlikely that we're the only ones...

Aliens, as portrayed in the movies? Not so much but do I believe there is more than just out there, certainly

Not to sound like a complete nut but---years ago DH and I were driving home one night about 2 a.m. when all of a sudden there it was! It reminded me of the Enterprise from the original Star Trek. We were both so stunned we slowed down to a dead crawl and just watched it. It seemed absolutely huge. I remember sitting in the car with my mouth hanging open. It was there for a good 20 seconds before it took off to the northwest. I've never seen anything like it again, but I will never forget it.
So, do I think there's something out there? You bet I do.

I certainly hope so. I would be so disappointed to find out otherwise.

most definitely there is life out there. I think it's a bit self-centered to think that this could be the only planet with life on it out of the millions (or billions??) of stars that are surrounded by millions of planet. At least one other has to be able to support life, IMO. That life may be nothing like what we are, but I very strongly believe there are other life forms residing on other planets

Cool question!!! I am boring though I just don't concern myself with pondering the possibilities...
I accept the fact that we don't know, and we won't until we find them or they find us

I definitely believe there's other life out there. I'm also of the belief that with all the billions of stars and star systems, and planetary systems surrounding those stars, it's really, really likely that some of them contain life. It's sort of exciting to me to imagine what it's like.

With as little information as we have to draw any conclusion, it seems the only reasonable answer would be that it's "possible".

Personally, I find it to be "probable".

same feelings here... as well I read in some place...It would be a waste the whole universe just for the humans and the Cats...

i so beleive in "aliens". I can't beleive for a second that we are the only ones and hopefully one day the question will be answered.

I think it is pretty arrogant to believe we are the only sentient beings in the universe. Simple logic dictates that there has to be more than one solar system that is populated by something when one considers the size of just this galaxy.

Trillions and trillions of stars, how many countless planets in an untold number of other galaxies in this universe, and we think we're the only ones alive?!

I definitley do believe we are not alone. My problem is whether they will be friendly when we finally meet.

Something is out there. It would be improbable for there not to be.

Well, I guess I am the lone non believer. But I am like that with a lot of things. I have to see to believe it.

Farley i am normally like that i have to see it to know its real but this program really got you thinking im waiting for it to come on catch up and ill post a link up

It might be wise to realize that some (including myself) don't mean little grey men coming to abduct us. Life includes so much more than that. Bacteria is life.

And I would think it arrogant to think that other life forms looks anything like we do.
