Going to bathroom in the bathroom not litterbox

Well today is the 2nd time we have noticed that Oscar has went went #2 in the bathroom floor instead of in his litterbox. He did it a few weeks ago in the same room. I have shown him his litterbox again after the first time.

Any ideas on why?

Also, I have noticed that sometimes Oscar shakes while he is asleep like he is having a seizure.

Ideas on why?

He needs to see a vet - they could be related but could be separate too

Not using the litterbox is usually a sign of a urinary tract infection, fairly easy to diagnose and can range from surgery for certain stones, special food for others or just antibiotics. The longer you leave it untreated the more the litterbox behaviour becomes nature to the cat and the more he could be hurting.

A seizure is serious and needs a vet visit asap

I'd also get to the vet for a check, as well as for the shaking. I often write up a little summary of dates/times I notice things, etc., for the vet to read before he comes into the exam room.

You mention one box - some kitties really are picky, and like to have at least two boxes (one for #1, the other for #2) and that the boxes have to be very clean (cleaned up at least twice a day). Also, some cats are very demanding regarding texture, or even depth, of the litter - I had to try out several types before we all agreed on one.

And, what sort of box - open or closed - again, some cats have really strong preferences and can't really tell you when they're unhappy, other than by showing you.
