help with my cat's new behavior ++

hi all. i adopted a 1.5 y/o siamese cat about 3 weeks ago. she and i immediately became 'friends' as she would lick my forehead, sleep with me, follow me most of the time. during the whole day, she hides since she hasnt warmed up to my family even if i am around....even normal conversation or household noise makes her skiddish.

however in the past 2 days, she has been somewhat aloof to me.
U must understand, this girl begs and gets lots of love/attention every night. Anyway, last night she didnt want me to touch her face or paws, and spent very little time close to me but she still slept with me the whole night.
Now she is in my room (which she knows is her 'safe' place) but isnt even interacting with me much...she's actually hiding under my bed as like day 1 when i got her. she has eaten and drank a bit too.

i havent done anything to her. anyone guess if this is some kind of 'passing' phase with her. any ideas on what to do, or what she is 'thinking'? or is just being a 'cat'?

thanks

A change in behavior indicates something is going on and she probably needs to go to the vet to be checked out. Is she eating a normal amount and using the litter box normally?

thank you for ur help!

typically in daytime, she doesnt really eat/drink much as she hides most of the time. Her appetite seems fine as she just goes to eat/drink sometimes then goes back under my bed.

Since she was in my room all day and was pretty much aloof, she showed no interest going out to the litter box (which in the the porch). i think the last time she used it was sometime yesterday as i did clean the box last night.

i notice she has been grooming more than usual. i also notice some hair loss in front of her ears. i thought maybe she has some fleas (and i saw 1-2), so i gave her advantage last night. she still grooms but not as much as before.

arrrgh, i am so worried. one part of me is hoping she is just having a passing tantrum. my last vet visit was with my late cat a month ago, and the vet wasnt so sure of his diagnosis (and i raked in over $450 for just an exam and some blood work!). sorry for the off topic rant.

It could be that she's just not feeling well. If she's scratching her ears, could be ear mites, an ear infection, or allergies. If she's not used the box in that long, I'd be very concerned. Definitely needs to be checked over by a vet.

I'd bet anything there's something physically wrong here. Withdrawal from others is a huge sign that cats give you when they aren't feeling so well. I've seen it myself and also seen people describe similar things on this forum.

Could be something like an allergy, too. Like the other person said--I'd get her checked out ASAP.
