A very good book on cat behavior

Today at the library I checked out a book on cat behaviour called STARTING FROM SCRATCH: HOW TO CORRECT BEHAVIOR IN YOUR ADULT CAT by Pam Johnson-Bennett.

I've just started reading it, and I'm devouring it and may order a copy from amazon. My adult shelter cat doesn't have a lot of behavior problems (except right now he's meowing to high heaven at the windows, because he wants to go out - and we were out for a long time on his harness and leash this morning!)

The book is very good, and I highly recommend it - just knowing about normal feline behavior is an eye opener, and spending time in play is important.

And speaking of that - I think I'm going to 'rescue' my meowing unhappy indoor cat now and get out a couple of our wand toys.

I love Pam Johnson-Bennett; I'm glad you found her book of use. I also simply enjoy her writing style, but she's been a big help to me as a relatively new cat parent.
