Finally... after 9 years!!

Wow... It's finally happened...

After 9 years...

I am mobile...

I have my own car!! I bought it from the lady who's place I am taking at my new job. Today I got my first paycheck, and went and got the car all switched over to my name. Insured, plated, and ready to go !!! YAY!!

It's not a beauty. It runs very nice, a very smooth ride. I need to get some seat covers, clean it up, fix the driver's side door handle (outside), and window, it doesn't roll down. But hey, for $10 I can't beat it! I am now mobile.

Funny thing about seat covers. I found out when I lived in France that the first thing the French do when they buy a car is put seat covers on it. And the last thing they do when they sell it is take the seatcovers off. The result? The junkyards there are full of worn-out cars with seats that look new.

Thanks for all the gratzes I am a very safe driver, so... no worries there. As for a picture... it's an ugly car. That year the paint had issues, so it's missing spots of paint, and it's a bit rusty. I'm planning on sanding off the rust, and using the automobile spray paint to hopefully give the car a prettier look

And... I lied... I calculated it, and it was in 1999 that I last had my car. I had a temp car in 2000, but only for a month before a rod got thrown... So it's been about 11 years!
