Strange addiction to Q-Tips, eyeshadow applicators, make-up sponges, etc!?

My little girl Bitsy is a real card. She has this strange, relentless addiction to Q-Tips; used or new. She will constantly knock over the trash can in my ensuite bathroom and fish out the Q-Tips then carry them all over the house. Or if I forget and leave one on the bathroom countertop, within 30 minutes she's found it and it going crazy with it. How does she know it's there?

A few weeks ago my Mom stayed over and Mom kept her cosmetic bag in the main bathroom. Inside it she had a ziploc bag with Q-Tips. In the middle of the night she got up to use the washroom; turned on the light and there was Bitsy, in her bag, trying to get into the ziploc bag LOL. How would she have even KNOWN there was Q-Tips in it?

A few days following that, I started noticing strange things on the stairs (from my upstairs to my main floor); sponge foundation applicators, eyeshadow applicators, of course Q-Tips. I've since learned to NOT leave any of these items anywhere or she'll carry them downstairs. What a goof! LOL

Here's some pics of her, she's such a sweet, funny, affectionate little monkey.

She's a girly girl I don't know why but both my cats like to play with Qtips. They only find them if I drop one which is rare. When I see them playing with one I take it away

Tell Bitsy's she's got a beautiful face. She doesn't need makeup

I'll trade ya!!! Da Magpie is also enamoured with q-tips, but she outdoes Bitsy. She steals them, then crawls into the bed, under the blankets, and deposits her treasures there for me to find at night. More than once I shot out of bed because something was biting my foot - a q-tip stick. She also plucks the cotton of and leaves those lying about in soggy white balls. I did learn to keep things closed except for HER drawer where she deposits other treasures she has found - car keys, loose change, earrings, pens, I am afraid to look anymore

Lucy and Q-Tips are the reason all of the bathrooms have trash cans with lids. She is obsessive about them. I also have to put away all of my makeup brushes because she will grab those and drag them around the house.

ahahahahaha...."she also plucks the cotton off and leaves those lying about in soggy white balls." Isn't that the truth!!! When this first started, I remember being perplexed by these little white bits of cotton lying around. Heh. Frankly, I have wondered what happened to a lot of the 'sticks' from the Q-Tips because though I'd find the cotton ends, I've almost never find the stick portion of it. I wonder if they have some sort of secret stash place for such treasures? Her buddy Hobee is keen on Q-Tips but not quite as obsessive about them as her. I expect that someday I'm going to move or open something and dozens of 'sticks' will come out. LOL

And yes, garbage can with a lid, very good idea, think I better get me one of them :-)
