If I have foster kittens, then it must be Spring *pics updated 5/6*

Here are some pics of my newest foster kittens. Like some of last year's, these came from a hoarding situation. They're still trying to get the last kitten...big vibes for her capture! These poor babes are terrified, and underweight...their spines are sticking out, and I can feel all their ribs. They're the best example of why it is so important to spay and neuter!

Here's the group. They've never been handled, so they're feral at this point. Since they're probably around 6 weeks, we have high hopes that they socialize nicely. The orange one is handle-able, but the other two have to be wrapped in a towel for handling. I learned that the hard way.

Here they are after they pulled themselves together a bit.

Here's the cream boy (we think it's a boy anyway)

And the tortie girl (who managed to cut me up pretty good so far! )

And here's the little orange/white girl. I think that gray splooch on her head is oil or grease. I don't believe an orange cat can have a gray spot. I guess time will tell.

Awwww bless their little cotton socks, their so sweet and fragile looking

Jack was socialised from being found outside at 6 weeks Kelly so they'll be fine.

Lots of that the other baby is found though

They are just impossibly cute!

I love the cranky tortie girl.

Yes, Dottie and I have been transporting kittens, in some cases with their moms, to rescues for several weeks now.
They're adorable!

At just six weeks, I suspect they'll "give in" pretty quick.
Awwwwww!!!! of course give them kisses AFTER they like people! LOL!!
Look at those faces! Who would imagine that faces like that could be dangerous?
Poor things... best of luck with them!!
Takes me back to (not so fond) memories of Gumby eating me alive....

Many for catching the fourth one!
oh my goodness, how precious are they leave it to the girl to be the terror!
You always do so good with socializing, I have no doubt they will all be calm and ready for some love.

They are precious. I love that little tortie, too, she has "strong personality" radiating out of her eyes.

Poor little kitty that couldnt be caught, yet... vibes that that happens soon

Awwww they are just gorgeous, I love the face on the little tortie girl.xx

Aww Bless the poor little things! I must say, they're beautiful colours! Since they're so young, it shouldn't take too long for them to warm up to you

Yay! It's spring at Kelly's house! 6 weeks old? Like Eileen said, I think they'll melt pretty fast and be crawling all over you soon.

Actually, when we brought Steve home he had a black smudge like spot on this back foot. I also thought it was some type of dirt, but no, it's his fur! You may have the same situation.

A fourth kitten was found. She's not in good shape at all...she's incredibly emaciated, has an upper resp., eye infection, ear mites, and had fleas. She got fluids, and does eat some. She's on three different meds. She's just skin and bones...she's absolutely heartbreaking! The vet thinks they're closer to 8 weeks, but really underweight. The new one (dark tortie w/white) only weighed 1.6lbs. She needs strong TCS vibes and prayers!

Yeah, they're going to have to be way more socialized for that. I think I could sneak a kiss on the orange one, but certainly not the rest of them.

Times 4! Actually, times 5 if they can catch the last kitten! Oh wait, did I forget to say that a 5th kitten has been confirmed? You've got to love hoarders who have no stinkin' idea about what kittens they have, and how many.

Of the 5 (counting the one still to be trapped), 4 of them are girls, and three of those torties. God help me!

"Strong personality" is such a lovely euphemism!

Yes, we need vibes! Considering the shape the others were in, especially the latest one, that last baby can't be gotten out of there fast enough!

I hope she keeps her mark...it's so distinctive and cute! So Steve still has a dark mark on his foot?

I'll bet Gigi was like that too...those torties are tough nuts!

Hopefully with that baby being in good hands now, she will be able to be nursed back to health. That is soooo skinny for an 8 week old
So many vibes for her
No matter what, thank goodness she is with people who can help her now, instead of slowing dying alone.

God, it never fails to be heartbreaking that people can be so stupid, selfish and ignorant, leaving such defenseless kittens without adequate care!! Aghhh!

Zillions of vibes that they'll all do well, and that u manage to get #5 out safely.

Please keep us posted on their progress.

The ones we've been transporting to rescues are kittens who are orphans, or moms with kittens who had some sort of problem, or very young kittens. They're from the shelter where I volunteer, and I also volunteer to do transports for them.

We have about 7 cages of kittens at the shelter right now.
They are adorable, I would be tempted to try to at least kiss the tamer one

for the final two and good luck with all them torties
post #22 of 43
Such sweet faces! I'd have to keep them all, and that's why I have seven.

That everyone does well, and you can get the last one out safely.

They are adorable and many their way for a speedy recovery. You are an ! Such innocent little lives in need, they are in loving arms......
What sweet babies. Good luck with socializing them, with nursing the one back to health, and with capturing the fifth one.
What absolute sweethearts! Sending lots of for the all of them, and their elusive siblings.
Oh my GOODNESS.

Thank God for you and everyone like you who steps up to help these sweet babies after they had such a rough start to life. I greatly admire your compassion, and especially the strength of character it takes to keep looking on the positive side and doing good things, after seeing what people are capable of doing to animals.

I bet they warm up to people very quickly. They're so young, I'm sure that some patience and TLC will turn them all into little lovebugs in no time!

for a speedy recovery for all of them...babies (of any species!) are so resilient, I'm sure all of them will be in top shape ASAP!

I love the picture where the three of them are looking at the camera. They are beautiful.

They're doing pretty well, thanks! The sick one has perked up, and looks great now! The problem with her is that she seems to hate the other three, and was pooping and peeing on everything. I separated her with one of the other kittens in a separate playpen, and she's been better. At least now she's 100% with the litterbox! We're thinking that based on how she acts towards the other kittens that she's from a separate litter. God only knows what happened to the rest of them (if there were more)

The last kitten still has not been caught.

Here are the latest pics I have of them, and now they have names!

Fiona "Fi". Yes, she's still hissy!

Aurora "Rory"

Gina & Finn (this is one of my all-time favorite kitten pics! )
