Prayers for Sassy

Hi everyone! I need to ask for some prayers and vibes for a kitty named Sassy. She had surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia today, and was doing VERY well after the surgery, but then took a turn for the worse. The owners brought her in for a spay, and couldn't afford the repair surgery, but we did it anyway (while she was under anesthesia for the spay.... couldn't just let her suffer like that). After things started going awry, the owners surrended her to us, and she's now in our care. Air is filling her thorax and compressing her heart, so we've been having to pull air out of her chest every few hours, trying our best to keep her warm, and praying for her to make it through the night.

So, please join me in my prayers for Sassy. I really hope she makes it through this. She's such a sweet kitty.

I will say some prayers for this sweet girl. God has her in his hands, no better place to be.

Sending many vibes for poor Sassy, and for you, Okie, because it's obvious how deeply you feel for each of the cats in your care! The cats are lucky to have you and your team! I really hope Sassy pulls through!!!!

Thank-you everybody! I very much appreciate it, and Sassy does too!

I will give everyone an update tomorrow when I get home from work... I get off at 5:30, but I'm usually late... takes me about an hour to get home, and 30 minutes to change my clothes, feed the cats and dog, let the dog out, and get to the computer... so, maybe 7:00 US Eastern Time.

Thank-you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. Sadly, I must inform you that Sassy passed away last night, on her own accord. She was with a technician and a doctor, she took a bad turn... all attempts to save her were futile, and she passed. She's happy and pain free now.

I am so sorry - but at least her final hours here were spent surrounded by love. RIP, little one, and prayers for you and the team that worked so hard for her.
