Hello all, and this site is a godsend!
Lola, my six month old calico has been smacking her lips all morning, so I gently peeked inside her mouth and found a little stub of tooth poking through her gums with very light blood around. I figured she was just getting used to the odd feeling.
Coming home from my one class today I found her still doing the odd behavior of licking as if she just ate, but it sounded like she was crunching on something. Again I peeked in with my finger wrapped around moist gauze and found another loose tooth, a bigger one with about two or three little points. It's pretty loose but she doesn't seem to be in discomfort, but the crunching noise just bugs me! I'm assuming it's the loose tooth getting in the way of when she opens and closes her mouth.
Thoughts? Thanks in advance, I appreciate it!

She may have some pain/sensitivity, after all it's still losing teeth. But their adult teeth grow in pretty quickly and in a few days you may not even be able to notice that she lost any. Do check her teeth regularly to make sure all is going well - and after she's stopped losing them you may consider brushing her teeth to prevent some dental issues. (it's good for all kitties)
