Summary: In Sacramento, California in September 2000, a pet cat named Max was brutally, violently killed by a trespasser with a golf club. Max died a very tragic and wrongful death, and we can't continue to let his killer get away with this! Please help us!

Dear kind people,

Thank you for your continued support. The Baltrons family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness & support by way of signatures on the petition,
letters & E-mails sent to Community leaders, and phone calls made on Max's behalf.

Through this whole ordeal, they have not exepted a dime from anyone, even though Denice is severly disabled, and living on a limited income. She has paid for all of this herself.

We are in great need of help, the attorney fees are mounting! She will not give up the fight, no matter what it costs her personally. What I am asking kind people is to help out if you can. A trust fund has been established for " Max The Cat". The funds generated will first go directly to help with attorney fees & diagnostic costs associated with the case. What ever is left over will go DIRECTLY TO CAT CHARITY'S! With a full public accounting of moneys received.

Hi Everyone

I've missed all of you. I've been going through some stuff, but things have worked out okay so far. I didn't want to get into the details about my surgery, probably should've...fell off the face of the earth for awhile. I've been keeping in touch with with people through joking and I guess that was a form of depression..escape if you will. It's time to get back to the real world. I thank God for today, I thank Him for the courage to bring me home.

I've had the rare opportunity to have met one of the nicest people on the planet by way of this horrible crime involving Max. I can only tell you that your help will not only be rewarded here on earth, but your treasures will await you in Heaven! Denice has such a large heart...so large that you have no idea how enchanting this person is. You would truly believe you're engaged in a conversation with an angel. I don't know why all these subsequent events have happened to her, but I don't know how she's surviving the shock from one and keep dealing with the next. She's been bombarded. We've known each other now for quite a while here, talk via e-mail, as well as phone. My only hope is that one day this poor woman can rest and put this all behind her. Your generoustity will be greatly appreciated...remember, this could be one of our babies. My testimonial of Denice's life within this past 2 years is so WEAK...In other words, what I'm saying here can not give you the true comprehension of what this woman deals with from day to day. Trust me in my support of this fund. I have nothing to gain personally, other than the true fact that my friend will have at least some sense of relief. Please help her.

I'm sorry if you think I'm begging, but I am. We need to help her...just like we should each other. Five bucks can't hurt a soul here. We have lots of members...Just think of the good you can provide and get out your wallet right now and get it out kiss Mr. Lincoln and tell him to give Denice a brighter day. Know that this has been an ongoing case. This is no farce. Look, here mine goes right now...

Hello everyone! I am posting this message here in hopes that I can garner assistance in lighting a fire under 2 primary news orginizations. One is the Sac Bee newspaper. The person that I have emailed is a reporter by the name of Pamela Martineau and her email is [email protected]. Her direct phone line is (916) 321-1074. I will soon be sending a press package out to her, but haven't been able to get a direct call back as of yet, so I am requesting others start emailing and, better yet, calling her requesting that this story be covered.

Also, I am going to attempt lining up CNN and ask that everyone go to CNN.com and begin emailing them, asking that they cover this story, especially since it's a cop that is responsible for poor Max's demise.
