I thought my baby was going to die. Thank God she's fine.

The first and last time I posted here I was worried about my pregnant cat taking too long...she had four beautiful kittens. I'm keeping one of them that I LOVE!!! Her name is Emma, she's 8 1/2 weeks old.

Last night I had to rush her to an emergency vet at 3 a.m. because she feel off the bed in her sleep and (I guess) hit her head. It's been really weird--on the drive there I didn't think she was going to live. She couldn't walk without wobbling all over the place (barely on her feet), her third eyelids were almost closing her eyes that were cross-eyed and she kept seemingly going to sleep. Anyway, the vet checked her out and said that it was "just a concussion," gave her a shot and sent us home.

She slept next to me balled up in a couple towels to support her back and head and restrict her movement. I wasn't told to do that but I was just being overly careful I guess. Anyway, today she is just fine. Seems completely normal...so strange to me that she could have been so bad I thought she might die and fine today, but thank God.

Now I have new kitten problems I'll ask about it a separate post...

Oh my gosh, what a relief that she is fine, sending vibes that she continues to be fine. xx

My question is, though, why on earth give a shot for a concussion? That seems awfully strange. But anyway, glad she's ok! Whew...what a scare.

Probably a steroid shot to relieve any inflammation/swelling. Poor baby! Glad to hear she's doing better.
