This may be a silly question. I picked up a mom and 3 kittens to foster on Sunday. They were not in a good situation and weren't being feed. Mom is VERY skinny and the kittens are much smaller then my other litter of foster kittens that are also 6 weeks old. They are just as curious and coordinated when walking and playing but they are the size the other litter was at about 4 weeks. Will they catch up now that they have plenty of food and care or always be on the smaller side? I need to try to get pictures of both litters and post but they keep me busy and always make such a mess of their crates. You would think in a crate that's big enough for a greyhound they would have enough room to play without needing to play in the litter pan and knock litter everywhere
But they're cute so they can get away with it

I've only ever raised one litter of kittens, but it was a litter of 8, so they were all fairly small. And five years later they are all pretty huge, LOL. So I would say they will catch up.

I too think they will catch up most of it. Unless of course they ARE smaller by themselves. Small dad, or some inbreeding in the generations before....

good luck!
