One of my cats has long hair and is constantly leaving hairballs for me to find. She already gets an Omega-3 oil supplement on her food for allergies, and I use a non-petroleum hairball treatment 2 or 3 times a week (which she absolutely hates). I am looking at trying a new food anyhow, so I figured I'd get one with hairball maint.
From what my local Petsmart stocks, I'm debating between 3 (although I'm open to other suggestions as well). When I decide I'll grab a small bag for the cats to try and see if they like it.
*Blue Buffalo Indoor Health
*Eukanuba Indoor Hairball Relief
*AvoDerm Natural Indoor Hairball Care

Anyone have experience with these brands?

Thanks!

Please avoid indoor formulas ... they tend to be higher in carbs and lower in in the protein and fat a kitty needs...

Oat, oatmeal , oat bran are ingredients to help with hair balls ... cellulose( though I avoid foods with it also helps) as can vegetable fibers ...

What is she allergic to food wise?

All of the above mentioned foods contain one or more of the top allergens

One of the things I find about hairball formulas is that the extra fiber does move everything along BUT they get worse hairballs because it is not as good quality food so ends up not helping

We put our short haired cat Wiggies on Eagle Pack hairball remedy kibble.
The reason we did this was because it's the kibble with the highest fibre content we could find (and still a decent brand).
