Steve, Gigi and the Dishwasher

It's been a busy spring around here and not much time to take pictures. But, we recently had a dishwasher installed (the final act to our total kitchen reno) and the cats became curious.

First, place dishwasher near place of installation. Make sure cat is not located under dishwasher.

Next, make sure your connections under the sink are correct. Also, make sure the cat inspectors are satisfied with your work.

Important - check for leaks while testing the dishwasher for the first time! Again, make sure cat inspectors are still satisfied with progress of installation.

Time to fill up the dishwasher. Take note, cats may be a little hesitant at all the new noises.

Good job! The installation was a success and the inspections all passed. Time to take a rest after all the hard work.

ZZZzzzzzzz......

And, since people were asking, I started a kitchen reno thread in the Lounge --- http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...03#post2864103

Steve does look huge compared to his sister.
They both are gorgeous and Im sure helped so much with all the renos.

Your kitchen is just gorgeous, too. I love the colors you guys chose.
Is that a pass through from the kitchen to the sunroom?

What clever little inspectors they are

What a great story/pics! Why do cats always get in the middle of everything?

The kitchen does look great!

Awww... love the pics especially the snoozing afterward. Whew- it's such hard work being a cat inspector!

Thanks for taking a look, guys! The cats never sleep together unless it's a weekend when we're home and we mess up their sleeping schedule. Then, Gigi will 'allow' Steve to sleep beside her because she's too tired to resist. Otherwise, no Steve near her, ever!

Steve is about 12/13 pounds and Gigi is a sleek 8 pounds. Steve's nickname is Poofy since he has so much hair (when I brush him it's like I'm brushing a sheep )

Actually, check the Lounge for the Kitchen Reno thread to see other pics. I never did get around to organizing them.

Loved it, loved it and loved it. What do the inspectors charge for doing other houses, I know someone who would like to hire them Enjoyed seeing all you are doing, you are going to end up with a beautiful home.

Aren't you glad you have such diligent inspectors!! It's good to know that the work has passed muster. Such a bonus, too, that the inspectors are so gorgeous!

Steve's tail puts Lola's to shame! And Gigi has the most amazing markings..... We really are far too deprived of pics of these two!

Great pictures!
It's nice to hear an update from you.
Steve really looks like he has grown a lot which means that it has been a long time since you posted pictures of him and Gigi.
Give them both a hug and kiss from me.

What beautiful kitties - and I particularly loved that floor. My girl has to supervise every service person who comes in...my boy, not so much.

OMG! Love the pics and captions! Thank you so much for that giggle and such beautiful kitties........Maia is terrified of any strangers, but good for her I do most repairs and work on my apartment my self so she can inspect and watch paws on.

What gorgeous little inspectors you have!! What will they do with their time now that the kitchen is finished???

I have to say, though, that I think The Inspectors would have let you know quickly if there were any leaks the first time you ran the dishwasher.

DH, the handyman in our house, said, "Well, at least he had help!" Absolutely awesome pic of the 3 working together to install the dishwasher. Loved the story as well. Beautiful kitchen reno, too.

Each time we take Steve to the vet, there is always a gasp and they say "He's all tail!"

I know, we've been so busy with a crazy rollercoaster year that the camera stayed on the shelf and these two grew up fast!

We moved our furniture around and placed the Ikea Pong Chair upstairs beside my computer. Ever since then, the two fight to sit on the chair. I usually have to break it up and place each cat on one side of the chair and tell them to share or they will be banned downstairs. They usually listen.

Thanks! I should start a thread with all the reno cat pictures. When I first brought these two home we were just installing the kitchen cabinets. I was worried they would be scared with all the banging and new noises. But, no, they wanted to be involved in the projects. I think these two were meant to be here.

I remember you worrying bringing them home that the noise would bother them

You still owe me photos for a sig

It's very kind of Gigi and Steve to help you install your dishwasher. Great pics, too. They are as gorgeous as ever.
