my intro wasnt that long didnt tell alot.

I'm a 29 yr old stay at home mommy and a veteran. I've been taking in unwanted cats/kittens since I was young-my parents allowed it. I still on occassion take in kitties-used to take in dogs but I no longer do that.

During the winter I had a family member give me two brothers that they had gotten from CL-fully vetted-they just didnt want them anymore
I found them a home eventually-not many people are in the market for adult cats sadly-they like them when they are cute and cuddly lil kittens. I found them a good home together.

towards the end of winter we found a declawed kitty in our back yard no tracks leading in-just an indent in the snow where she'd been thrown over-she was a cranky cranky cat-older, spayed and declawed. found her a home after a month. A lady and her husband no kids

NOW gemma-never liked children-well she got my son pretty good required a stitch-i gave her to my fiance's family-now they got a kitten and dont want her so she is coming back here-its what i told them if anything happened she was to be returned here(getting a new kitten was not what i meant...). So once she gets back up to my room she goes, any suggestions for finding her a small child free home would be great.

also they are giving me their 7 year old siamese-they've only had him a year. He'll get to go in my fiance's game room so sirus doesnt mess with him.

I also TNR the strays/ferals in the area.

well thats all there is to me. I'd like to get to know everyone else on here as well.

It's wonderful that you helped save these older cats. I cannot believe how awful some folks are that would throw a cat over your fence, especially a declawed cat. I hope when they meet their maker they are held accountable.

You say you are a veteran. Were you overseas?

I find it so hard to stay positive some days, still draggin myself outta depression..but to hear you talk about saving so many cats, and going the extra mile to find them good homes...it has cheered me up, to be reminded that people all over the world have good hearts and do good selfless deeds!

I'm not gonna let my mind wander to thoughts about the cruel ppl who abandoned that poor cat in your garden...I'm just very glad she landed in YOUR garden and not someone's who didn't have such love for animals!

Much respect!

That is great that you have done so much to help so many beautiful kitties.

I was just asking for some pictures of Gemma in one of your other threads so I hope you be able to post some pictures of her soon.
Have you heard of Siamese Rescue?
http://www.siameserescue.org
With all the rescuing you do, maybe you should be one of their foster homes. They don't have too many foster homes up here in the northeast but I do know that there is a member of The Cat Site that fosters for them and posts here from time to time.
(Also you should check out the link for the Siamese Store, buy a calendar and lots of other cool Siamese stuff there!)

Blessing to you for saving the kitties!! I love older cats. I just can't keep up with kitten anymore. Bella was an older cat when she adopted me and I adore her mellow ways. It's older cats for me from now on. I can't imagine throwing a cat out or not wanting them anymore. How do those people live without a heart??

There has to be a place in Heaven for people like you (and us)!

You have a huge heart for the innocent animals. It's a tough way to live...feeling and loving so.

God Bless you!!
