I think this is a really bold move on their part. Archie comics haven't changed all that much from when I was a kid, so I was surprised. Good for them, I say!

That is awesome - I am glad to see that they are moving with the times!

I honestly didn't know that Archie was still in print.

Good for them! I used to love Archie comics when I was a kid, haven't seen one in ages.

Never been into comics, even as a child but think it's great!

That was a controversy caused by Jerry Falwell.

I didn't even know Archie comics were still published.

He wasn't....it was a baby show. No place for the discussion of the characters' sexuality. But he was purple and carried a purse, so....ahem....certain people.....made a big deal about it .

I have a quibble with the Archie comic thing...the story line introducing the new character is called "Isn't it Bromantic?". Which is dumb because "bromance/bromantic" specifically refers to men who are NOT gay but have a close relationship. Oh well.

I grew up on Archie comics. Seriously I don't think I would have had any concept of the American teenager (I grew up overseas) if not for them.
