I need positive vibes that everything will work out!! I got a great job offer 250miles away in the city. My husband and I went house hunting and put in a bid for a house. He is a veteran and they approved his VA loan 5 weeks ago. Closing date was set for the 29th of april. I have been really nervous about moving and starting a new job so I had my husband call the real estate lady who said everything was fine and we set up a time for closing. I had my husband call the bank to double check. Come to find out 2 days ago the VA underwriter won't sign on the loan because my husband still works 250 miles away from new home and was going to travel weekends and get me set up and look for better employment. This man wants a 3 year projected promisary note from god that my husband will never lose his job. Then he wanted a down on a VA loan which is 100% financing. If my husband was a over the road truck driver he would always be on the road traveling paying for our new home. My husband is also close to retirement. I just got a job that doubled his income but they can't consider it, and thats understandable. My husband has paid off one VA home loan 10 years early, paid off 2 fha loans and we have 60k equity in our current home. He has perfect credit!!! Needless to say we had our home rented(which was added cash flow), and we had to back out of the lease. We had services getting ready to be installed at new home we had to cancel and we are sitting in limbo waiting to see if he will sign off before next week. We had to cancel the moving truck. Guess what this man is still trying to make us jump through crazy hoops in order for him to sign off on the loan!!! I have to be at work on May 3rd and now we don't know what we are doing. If I wouldn't have had the insight to have my husband double check, what the heck were they going to say when we got to closing on thursday???!!! Nobody from the bank ever bothered to pick up the phone to call us and tell us of this new decision. I am so mad I am going to file a complaint with somebody!! We lost the 6500 stimulas too. The bank lady also told my husband that they have somebody else that was to close tuesday that is sitting in the same position we are!! There are so many people who just got affected by this it is unreal. Thank god my husband has a friend who has a home he is renting but the house is going to cost as much as the house payment and it's an awful mess. This bank has 1k of ours held up in application fees and deposits. They didn't waste anytime in ripping that money out of our bank account. I bet it takes forever to get it back!!
