Perhaps getting a new kitten.

So, we were talking about going on holidays and we thought if we put Jazzy in a cat haven alone she would be lonely, so we thought about getting a kitten. The kitty we are thinking of getting is;

We did what we call the name test, where we call out the cats names and see if Jazzy responds, and she didn't ;] I can't wait to see those kittens. I'll keep updating this thread as something happens. Feel free to post things though.

Jackz & Jazzy. (CAN'T WAIT!)

At the shelter, we went into where all the small kittens are at the moment and one called Ginga rubbed against me and sat on me, we chose to adopt her ;]. Jazzy doesn't get along with her at the moment but eventually I'm sure she'll at least tolerate her. Ginga is a female ginger and white cat, she is short-haired. As soon as she came home she wanted to explore! (Much unlike when we first took Jazzy home) we had to lock her in a room, and we chose the laundry. I stayed in there with her and she climbed the washing basket ;]. Then we moved her to the bathroom, but that was too small. Then I showed her my room (here's where it gets annoying LOL) and she immediately hopped up on my bed. All night she hopped on me, and (she never stopped purring all day) all I could hear was her purr, I only got about three hours sleep LOL. Then she started headbutting me and licking me SO MUCH! She is really cute but, she never stops licking or purring.

We're going to try again today ;]. I spoke to people last night and they said that you just have to wait a few days or so, until Jazzy knows that Ginga is going to be there forever.

It took Cleo 4 days and Wrinkles does not really like him still because he is already bigger then her and very hyper.

Jazzy used to live with cats on either side of her, but I think she needs to protect her territory, but she will warm up I'm sure ;]

Jazzy is getting better, she doesn't hiss at Ginga all the time. Especially when Ginga is asleep LOL

Jazzy now tolerates Ginga, I think. Jazzy (whenever she passes Ginga) doesn't hiss at her! Before she would hiss at us because we had Ginga's scent but now she just rubs against us to try and get it off LOL. Last night was the last hiss I heard, they better be good because today is my birthday :]

Awww, congratulations on your new kitty!!! It's so fun to watch all the little milestones as the resident kitty slowly comes around and gets used to the new arrival.

And happy (belated, by now) birthday!

:] Thanks for the happy birthday. Just thought I'd give an update, Jazzy and Ginga usually keep away from each other now. Jazzy loves to watch Ginga play though LOL

Maude kind of just tolerated Attitude and Nuts as long as they didn't bother her. I did see them kind of groom each other(I think it was her and Attitude but it could have been Nuts, they licked each other a couple times then they were done) like once and her and Nuts touched noses once. She did let Attitude sleep up against her back but it took some time for Maude to not hiss if she felt they were invading her space.

They might end up being friends or they might simply tolerate each other. It sound like Ginga at least entertains Jazzy.
