Next week on Tuesday is the 1year anniversary of Marlow showing up in our back yard. I fed him for a few weeks then trapped, neutered and then released him. He stayed on and got very comfortable living in our yard and being fed like clockwork twice each day. We got to know each other and he slowly began to trust my wife, our cat Sasha (who he could see through the patio door) and me. He came into the house on his own when he was invited in October. He has been inside exclusively since late November.

I brought this up now because last night he slept in our bed all night. He has been in the bed before but last night and the night before he allowed me to actually pet him without bolting. During other sporadic ventures onto the bed he was either repelled by Sasha or spooked out by a movement or a reach to pet him. The last two nights Sasha, who sleeps in the bed almost every night, allowed him to stay with no resistance.

All this and it only took one year.

That is great news. What a good job you did saving him.

Thats great! Beeba is the same way, it took almost a year for him to warm up to us and now he is in our bed every night. Of course, neither my DH or I can move or get comfortable...but Beeba is!!

So glad to hear Sasha is doing well too. So is Beeb. You went through so much with him. Happy endings are great!

You and Becky did such a great job and such a wonderful thing - and it has been so worth it! I'm also really glad to hear that Sasha is doing well! We totally know that relief!
