Yesterday a litter of 5 kittens was found in our State Fair Park. One of our shelter volunteers works security for the fair park. She was notified of the kittens & did her best to keep an eye on them despite having to work. By the time she to them at 6:30 AM 3 of the 5 had already passed. It was a chilly night & it looks like Mom did not return last night. She took the remaining two & put them in her shirt to warm them back up. On my way to work I ran to the shelter & then over to the park to make sure we got some KMR in the kittens. The 2 were fine at 8:30 when I left, and I have no other update on the two of them.

Even though you were only a day or two old the world will miss what you would have become little ones.
Play happily over the bridge, and we will do our very best for your remaining two siblings.

R.I.P. 3 fair park kittens.

I got the sad news on Saturday that the final two kittens joined the rest of their litter over the bridge. They were just too young to make it without a Mom.

I know that my kitties that have crossed the bridge will care for them. Oh sweet babies even though you were here such a short time--you were all loved. You will never be forgotten. May your cries turn into purrs until we can hold you again.

What a beautiful post - I cannot express it any better, but only can add my prayers to your lovely words
