The little Monkey must have gotten our. Lucky has been screaming for him all night. If he was in the house I am sure he would answer. He is an inside kitty so I am not sure he knows to how to keep himself safe.

I hope you find him. I have had a few scares with my Shadey. Luckily she was inside the house in a new hiding place I hadn't found yet. (I'm not saying he is inside, but I hope he just found a new comfy spot, and just having a good sleep). I hope you find him soon. I hope he is safe, and warm. I'm always so scared when I don't know where my girl is.

Be safe.

You must be frantic with worry.

Along with still looking inside, copy a flier with a reward and post it everywhere. Notify all neighbors within a several block area, all vets offices, shelters....

Gus

Oh my gosh, I'd be beside myself worrying. Hopefully he has shown up since your original posting. Once we lost Miss Point for 3 weeks, and I never stopped looking, and all along she was under our neighbors deck. Finally she must have heard me calling and meowed and we rescued her. She NEVER escaped again...never even went close to the front door!

Please keep us posted, and here are some vibes that he's either already back home or returns post haste

Call all the local shelters and vets and ask if he has been handed in.
Go door to door with all your neighbours with a poster of him and ask if they have seen him and to keep an eye out for him and then put some posters up
If you have a bed or his litterbox, something with his scent on - put it at your door, they often come back to their scent
Later when it is dark, you can try looking in bushes/under cars with a flashlist (their eyes reflect so its easier to spot them) but let your neighbours know when you bring the poster around so they don't call the police on you

Still no Gus. Lucky is driving me insane. I opened a window , she has been calling him. She also tried to sneak out. She is convinced he is out side.

Do you see a possible escape route that Gus might have used to get outside?
If you really think he got out, it is time to begin an outside search.

Have you tried walking around shaking a treat bag or dry food?

I hope Gus comes home soon

With our cats
Try CraigsList lost and found section. A lot of local shelters use it.

I don't know where you're from but this is for the Cleveland area.

Just to give you a link to get started.

Our vet told us the best thing to do is to have our cats tagged, with a chip under the skin.
Any vet will scan for it for free, if someone takes them in. It will also help the local shelters find your kitty more quickly.

We live in a very small town in B.C. Canada there are no shelters. No Craigslist. My neighbours are all keeping an eye out for him. We live about a block away from the forest. My biggest fear is the fox that lives at the edge of the forest. Unfortunately she lives off the feral cats. It is not unusual to see her in the day walking down the street with something furry in her mouth.
