Oh dear, I hope your vet can help you! I'm sorry to not be of much help, I don't know much about cats and dealing with their fevers, but I'm sure that as long as you keep wiping her down every now and then that will at least keep her comfortable. Good luck at the vet!

for your kitty, what is his name?

Sorry your vet wasn't in today, but hopefully the antibiotics will start helping with whatever this is!

As well as the cool cloths on the paw pads, you can encourage him to lay somewhere cool like tile flooring rather than what are considered normal kitty spots (blankets, cubby holes, basically warm places.) Also with any kind of illness, encouraging drinking is very important. If he's one to drink from running taps, then let him. A dish of ice water is also temping for kitties too.

Best of luck and keep us updated!

Use cool water on his paw pads... that is exposed area and will help with his temp.

And the on the ears, there are a lot of blood vessels in the ears and when a cat is hot they dilate to vent off heat.
