Zoe is doing well one week after surgery!

I posted a few weeks ago about my girl Zoe having a hip injury. She had surgery last Monday and is doing amazing. She had an FHO procedure performed. It wasn't the first option I wanted but when the surgeon got in there, the ball of the femur was fractured. There was no chance of saving. Zoe will get her stitches out this weekend. I'm sooooo happy that she is ok now!!!

Poor girl. I'm glad she had to have the surgery now, knowing that there really wasn't any option for her. I hope she keeps doing very well.

I have a kitten that has to get her spay stitches out Friday. While no cat enjoys the vet visit they sure love having those stitches out.

Thank you Strange Wings! You've been so helpful during all of this. My girlfriend and I are thinking about getting her a lion cut after a few weeks so that her fur grows out evenly and she can get a break from coughing up hairballs.

your poor girl! glad she is doing well, she is gorgeous. my first true love kitteh was a fluffy calico who looked a lot like her

Thank you so much! We have been giving Zoe a little more freedom every day. Last night, we closed the bedroom door and let her roam the bedroom for the night while we slept.

She spent the night curled up between me and my girlfriend. Sooooo cute!!

She gets her stitches taken out on Saturday and then she won't have to wear the collar anymore.
