Going to a cat show!

Woohoo! I am headed to pick up my new Mau this weekend and was not going to be able to show her as she has been bred. She has gone back into heat however and the breeder has asked if I will show her. The show is the Global Egyptian Mau Society Annual combined with the Sign of the Cat show in Pennsylvania. our club is hoping to drum up as many Mau entries as possible.

GC Emau's Dirty Dancing of Azshara (DD) has done really well for herself in the last few shows, and I expect she'll do well again even though she'll be up against a whole lot of Maus!

If anyone is in that area, you should come check it out. It will be a fun show with a large count over the two days.

Sorry to hear DD didn't take, is there time to put her back with the stud before he leaves?

It's not such a bad thing. I have a boy who is in need of another queen. This was just an opportunity to expose her to a great stud who will be leaving the country to make a splash in Europe. Additionally, I am bringing my new queen with me to be bred to boy from the East Coast so I will have a decent amount of genetic diversity, while sticking with a few good lines.

What a fun show. It was so nice to see so many Maus

DD won two best of breeds in 9 rings, and two finals, second and third. Lots of great competition and lots of great information and learning from the many experienced mau breeders at the show.

I also picked up a pretty sky blue double sturdi cage, and won a doube sized cat bed in the raffle. Tsekani loves it.

So you were the exhibitor with that stunning sweetheart of a smoke I hope the babies did take. . . can't wait to hear news of some pinking up!

How cool was Bob's final when both DD and PB were called up?

Someone likes Maus!

DD and Tsekani have been talking through the floor grate to the basement, no real signs of heat though so I am hopeful.
