That is very cool! The next time my mom visits, I am going to take some pictures and perhaps catch some evidence on "film".

She also told me that he didn't like my current boyfriend b/c he was a different faith!
Sounds like my dad!

When my hubby and I first moved into this house, we heard things. We would hear a cat jump down off of the counter in the kitchen, or off of furniture in the livingroom while we were in the bedroom in the basement. We didn't think much of it, since we have a cat. It wasn't until one day, we realized Shadey was with us in the basement. We also heard a kitty meowing. We went outside, looked for any sign of a cat out there, and never found anything. No paw prints in the snow anywhere near our house, nothing. I thought we were going to have a stray living near us, but nope.

The noises stopped when MyRage moved in. Maybe we had a ghost kitty living here? Maybe it was keeping Shade company because she was lonely? Or maybe it's still here, but we figure the sounds we hear are MyRage? Rage does get really excited sometimes and race through the house, like she is chasing something. I'm not sure I like her running up and down the stairs for most of the night, for a light dainty cat, she stomps!!

One of my friends commented on how loud Rage is coming down the stairs, and said it takes a lot for a cat to 'Stomp' down the stairs... lol

I get a vision of a large fluffy all black cat (not like MyRage, not so feminine and dainty) when I really think about it. This house is really old, from before 'indoor outhouses' lol.

be safe.

When I first got Ripley I lived in a flat above the pub I was working in. Part of the building dated back to the 16th century and the flat was reputed to be haunted by the ghost of a small girl. Sometimes me & my husband heard footsteps in the corridor that went past the bedroom even though we were the only ones in the building. I often 'felt' a presence, once I was walking through the old part of the flat holding Ripley when I felt a sudden 'cold spot'. All the hairs on my arms stood on end & when I looked at Ripley all her fur was really puffed up. I never saw anything in the flat (although I spoke to people who had) but Ripley often used to get up and trot off after something I couldn't see. Once someone asked me how old my daughter was (I don't have any children) as he'd seen a little girl looking out of the upstairs window. I never felt threatened though. People used to see & hear all sorts of things in the pub downstairs and in the cellar. Twice I saw the outline of a man when I was locking the place up at night. I am usually quite sceptical but I struggle to explain what I saw, heard & felt in that building.
I have since moved (I changed job & had to move out) and thankfully anything that goes 'bump in the night' these days is the result of two very mischievious cats!

I was a skeptic until a few things happened when I was teenager (and an adult). Most, I have no rational explanation for, and believe me, I've tried to find one.

1. When I was 14, I saw a woman through the window of the living room. She was in my bedroom. Brother, Dad, & mom, plus black dog (and me) were the only occupants in the house at the time. Dad & brother=black/brown hair; Mom was fully asleep (I checked), and is a blonde. The window woman's blonde hair was much different than Mom's (color, style).

2. A few months later, I took a walk in our back field, adjoining a cow pasture. I saw what I thought was a classmate, bending over to pick daffodils. I didn't like him, & I was far enough away to pretend not to see him, but he raised his head, and came toward me, making a low whistling noise to get my attention. I ran back into the house; as few minutes later, I realized that NO flowers, esp. daffodils, were growing in the pasture.

3. I was in the back seat of my parents' car (as an adult). We stopped at a small intersection near our house. I idly looked out the window to see a tall, thin teenage boy, in a long, dark coat, crossing the road to arrive on the porch of an abandoned (yes, abandoned) house, and stare at the door. Thought nothing of it until later, when I remembered that the hedge (about 2ft high) had over-grown the entrance to the path I saw him walk/glide up. (I even checked 2 days later to make sure.) I then remembered that it was April4th; many years before, a 17-year-old boy was shot & killed in a shoot-out with the police (he may have molested a 3-year-old girl) in that vicinity. BTW, about 13 years later, that house is STILL empty, but someone mows the lawn. Wonder why they don't try to sell or rent it?

4. I may have seen the ghost of a Confederate 1st Sergeant on the Emmitsburg Pike (in Gettysburg) one night. This is the one time I thought I was seeing a ghost when I saw it; but I'd like a lot more proof to back up my idea. Too many variables in this one.

5. Shortly after we moved here, I was dusting a table. We only had 2 cats, who were both across the room from me, sleeping. Overhead, I clearly heard a man sneeze, cough, and clear his throat, twice; then a woman doing the same. The windows and doors were all locked, I was alone, and there were no kids outside, playing, etc. It was VERY distinct, and could not have been another similar noise. I just looked up, and smiled to myself, "Here we go again--another haunted house to live in! Sure wish they'd do some cleaning around here!" I heard it all again a few weeks later, but not after that.

Yes. I have a ghost in my house. It was built in 1905 and something lives here with us. My cats and I have literally seen one of them. The cats chased it up the stairway with their tails puffed. It makes noises upstairs all the time. I think it got used to us and appreciated us, but we are moving this week and our home will soon be getting new energy in it that may upset the ghost. I have to move to a home that was built around the time my home was built and I really hope that there are no resident spirits there. I don't want to move to anymore haunted houses!

No ghosts in my house, but I wish there were. I don't believe in that stuff at all but I really want to believe in it.

I feel my parents around me. My Mom always collected dimes, she would save up and buy things like a dishwasher. Since my Mom passed 5 years ago. I keep finding dimes on the floor in my house, in my shoes , out in my driveway. I know it's her way of saying she is here. A few nights ago I woke up and I could smell my Dad. I had forgotten how he smelled. I used to snuggle on the couch with him everynight after supper. He died 33 years ago.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I totally believe there are different planes of existence and they "cross over" into our ability to perceive them.

That said.... we have cats, not ghosts.
Anything in a different place in the morning - and we know who did it!

That's how it is in my house as well. If a ghost showed up, it would take us a while to figure it out, because any strange noises or misplaced objects are always blamed on the cats!

I am very skeptical about things like ghosts, but I must confess that I love hearing the stories.
