flea and tick season. How to prevent.

Hello

I know the flea and tick season is coming up now, as my cats are starting to get ticks.

We give them flea tables to prevent fleas, however our cats still get ticks.

We have to get our vet to remove them, as we can't do it. If they are left in their too long the cats get them out, often leaving the head in.

my question, is their an anti tick tablet or something that removes ticks and keeps them off?

I really don't know if there's a tick repellent for cats. Depending on the size of your yard, you can treat your yard with beneficial nematodes found at many feed and organic gardening centers. The nematodes destroy soil borne pests such as fleas, ticks, roaches, grub worms, and many other pests.

Isn't frontline for fleas and ticks. Also if you treat your yard with anything, you need to remove the cats until it is treated and dried. Personally, my cats live outside and we don't spray anything inside our fence where our cats live.

Discuss with your vet... One they will know what products work in your area and what you may need

Yes, frontline is for ticks and fleas. Talk to your Vet about getting some or perhaps they know of something else.

I think the ticks in my area are stupid. So far they have not bitten.

I use an all natural anti flea and pest spray for my wandering fuzz's called Target Spray.

I get it from http://www.petwellbeing.com/cat-fleas-p68.cfm
