Hi! My cat will usually get really comfortable, and get curled up and make a loud moaning purring noise like a deep breathe and then she goes back to being quiet.

Is this something I should be concerned about? She doesnt breathe heavy or weeze, sometimes she purrs loud but I think thats normal.

Is she just happy and kinda sighing of relief?

thanks

Sounds like maybe you just have a vocal cat. I wouldn't worry unless I could see some thing that made me think the cat was in stress.

Both of my cats will do that. That is like when you sit down and get comfortable, then take a big deep breath (yes kind of like a sigh of relief) Usually when I do it, they do it, or if they do it, it makes me do it
Heck I just did it now

I wouldn't think that would be a sign of anything bad, just like blueeyedgirl said, as long as he is not stressed or otherwise sick.

Mickey does this ALL the time, and it is very comforting to me to hear. To me it seems to mean he is really comfy and ready to sleep.

Attitude meows when she yawns. I think it's cute.

She also does the purr type sigh before going to sleep.

I do that too when I finally get into bed at night.
My cats have also done that down through the years.
