Ok finally after so many e mails saying how scared i was and how many cats are eating out of my food dish I FINAlly have some people willing to take QWICK action!

Now a new cat has showend up and this is a 100 percent pregnant queen shes very skinny with a massive belly she saw me through my window refused to eat and ran off.

Some great people are comming out to my house traps it will cost 15 dollars per get rs per cat this includies shots also wow this is amazing where i come from in canada no vets care enough to help feral cats for free like this!

Few questions shuld i take all food away for now? They are going to use sardines and claim that each cat will be trapped within 30 minutes.

If cats are to wild to be tamed they want to let them go again in my yard and me to continue feeding them which i dont mind. If i dont they go to the spca and get put down.

Trapping takes a LOT of patience. Make sure you aren't at the door or window too often as the cats are watching and that might make them nervous. They will need to size up the traps before they enter them - as they would with anything new. Just let the traps alone to do their work.

It is going to take several tries to get them all and I can almost guarantee there will be one or two who are "trap savvy" and very difficult, if not impossible to trap.

Bless you for doing this though. Those cats need you and you are definitely doing the right thing!

The deal you got is amazing by the way. Once they are fixed and returned, you're an angel to keep feeding them.

That is truly an amazing price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know how they manage the traps/trapping, but to claim that the cats will be trapped within 30 minutes is.... strange.

I know that what we do is wash the traps inbetween cats, spray them with Feliway, pour dirt over the bottom of the traps (so the cats don't have to walk on the wires) when they go in - and we do use a stinky food - although for trap savvy cats, KFC (no skin or bones) is almost always the clincher. We also sometimes pile sticks and leaves over the trap leaving the ends open. Sometimes it's just about getting the sight, touch, and smells right. Otherwise you can only count on trapping extremely hungry cats that have never been in a trap before.

We do skip feeding the day before we're going to trap though, to help with the hunger-as-a-driver to get in the trap.

Were any trapped?

We've never had a cat in a trap and get the food without being trapped, but it has happened to others. It sure sounds to me like there's something wrong with the traps. Is there any way to contact the people who is helping you with them?

This is part of the rescuers work. IF their time has come, it is much better they go on in a civilized way, then having long days of slowly and painfully dying. Which would surely be her fate if you didnt caught her.
Whatever the outcome, her immortal soul will have peace now.

Nay, the real problem isnt some are pts now and then. The problem is money and resources. Ie without resources you must let go even cats who probably could be saved with some veterinary attention and lots of good care.
With resources you can very often fight on. Without you must do what you must do.
The border-line is fluid and depends on many variables...

Here,
Lets hope for the best, and hope her heavy breathing is because of the stress.
Im joining you in sending my vibes.

ps. Her chances, if there is such an in-between positiion, will be much better, if there is somebody who can foster her and give her the necessary care.
Can you do this? Or know someone who can?

I'm so so sorry sweetie. You have to trust the vets in this instance, really, you must. Rescuing is hard work, especially when part of the job is bringing kitties to the bridge. Stefan's right. I know it hurts, but to die quickly and end suffering is also a blessing.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this!!!!
You did a very responsible noble thing by trying to help these kitties by getting them trapped and fixed. It's not your fault that they were already ill. If the kitties were really suffering, then it was a good thing for them to not be in pain anymore.
Especially if something is infectious and they could spread to more kitties outside that aren't ill. Please try not to beat yourself up for helping these kitties. It's always a chance that this will happen when they're trapped.

I'm so sorry for the pain and heart break you are dealing with.
It's very sad but it's not your fault!! It sounds like you have a HUGE heart. Hang in there!!!

RIP sweet kitties
