So people are always picketing at Petlands around the area. The lewisville one was picketted at couple weeks ago and the other day i went there to buy Neko's FAV FAV canned food and they were closed!! Picketters are on their way to the dallas location. Those puppies always look ill, so i'm glad they're closing down.... But what am i going to do about B.F.F.????
Tiki is the most similar but it gives Neko upset stomach. I guess i'll have to order it! So sad

The picketers need to come here and go to the Braintree store. It makes me so sad every time I go in there because the dogs always look so sick and sad.

You will find somewhere else that carry's that food, don't worry!!

Makes me wonder if people picket the petland thats somewhere in this area.

They're puppies are horrible, my dog was bought there (not by me thank you!) and she's mostly fine minus having to be on RX food for struvites, and the other dog purchased with her, a miniature dacshund has one blue eye, one brown eye. This is not a breed characteristic, and the purchaser was approached by a real breeder questioning her about it, and then informing her what she had was an inbred puppymill dog (as if buying it from a petstore didn't say that enough already) They're also supposed to have come with health certificates and akc/ckc registrations, that magically disappeared when my friend (the purchaser) returned to get them. (they told her they'd be ready in a week)

is it possible for you to order online? I'm sure you could find it on Amazon, they have everything there! (so far as I've found anyways)

Yes, there is a site that sells it but i'll compare the shipping to amazon and see what deals i can find. I know city vet can order it for me but i'm assuming its only going to come in bulk of one flavor... Has anyone else ordered from a store and been able to get variety of flavors? Or do you HAVE to buy the case they order. I can ask them too...

Not that I would ever support buying puppies from a petstore, but it really is not unusual for a mini dachshund to have one blue eye. It just means the dog probably has the gene for "merle" coloring, which is allowed in that breed. It has nothing to do with inbreeding. I hope the dog's owner isn't worried about this, it's totally harmless.

Frankly, it'd be hard to get her to worry about much. She's where I rescued a ferret, a fish, my Maybelle, and my dog.

luckily she's down to just the mini dacshund who's being cared for properly now and not looking for more.

EDIT: besides that, inbred puppymill dogs need love too, nothing to actually worry about, just a good reason for her to not buy dogs from pet stores anymore.

Found two places around my area that carry Weruva so going to call them to see if they also carry BFF! Going to try some Weruva canned food too and see if Neko approves

I was wondering... since you're not really that far from Dallas. There should be plenty of petsupply stores.

While it would be nice to assume that people have gotten the petlands to close down, it's probably more related to the company going under financially.

No not that far... The Cat Connection would be great... However i work full time and go to school full time so i need pet places located right around my apt or right around my work. My off days are usually for school work. School is almost over... i'll visit the cat connection then and stock up!
The two places i mentioned are very near by and cant believe i didn't knotice them before!
as for petland, going under financially is def a possibility!

Off topic but I second your statement. I have a mini and after doing tons of research on it its true that one blue eye is a breed characteristic in some cases. Ive had someone tell me that my dog was inbred because he is a dapple and I know for a fact (because I know his breeder and have his papers) that he is not inbred. If I would have done it when he was little I would have trained him to show because by AKC standards he is literally perfect just a high strung nutcase..LOL
